Connect Claude, Cursor & VS Code

On this page
Create images, videos, music and voice straight from Claude, Cursor or VS Code. Connect you.bot once, then just ask — your AI app picks a model, runs it on your you.bot account and hands you the result.

Your MCP server URL

text
https://you.bot/mcp

This is a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP). Signing in uses OAuth: the first time you connect, your app opens you.bot in your browser, you choose a daily spending limit and click Allow. There is no API key to copy.

MCP is available on accounts that have made at least one top-up. Free trial credits work in the Playground.

Working in a coding agent such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor? The skill is one command and an API key — see AI agents → Coding agents: install the skill.

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)

  • Open Customize → Connectors, click + Add and choose to add a custom connector.
  • Name it you.bot, paste the server URL above and add it.
  • Click Connect. you.bot opens in your browser — sign in, pick a daily limit and click Allow.
  • In a chat, make sure you.bot is switched on in the tools menu, then ask for what you want.

Custom connectors work on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one. On Team and Enterprise plans, only an organization Owner can add them. In older versions of the Claude apps, Connectors may still be under Settings.

Claude Code

bash
claude mcp add --transport http youbot https://you.bot/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick youbot and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens you.bot — click Allow.

Cursor

Add this to your MCP settings (Settings → MCP, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json), then click the login prompt next to the server:

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "youbot": { "url": "https://you.bot/mcp" }
  }
}

VS Code

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette, choose HTTP and paste the URL — or add it to .vscode/mcp.json:

json
{
  "servers": {
    "youbot": { "type": "http", "url": "https://you.bot/mcp" }
  }
}

Prefer an API key?

For scripts, servers or apps without OAuth, send one of your API keys instead. The key's own limits and IP allowlist apply.

bash
claude mcp add --transport http youbot https://you.bot/mcp \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $YOUBOT_API_KEY"

What to ask

Write the way you normally would — no special commands. If you do not name a model, your agent uses GPT Image 2.5 for images and Seedance 2.5 for video. Name any model from the Market to use it instead. A few examples:

You wantAsk
An imageMake a 16:9 cartoon poster of a cat wearing sunglasses.
An image editTurn this photo into a watercolor painting: https://example.com/photo.jpg
A videoMake a 5-second video of a cat running on a beach at sunset.
Image to videoAnimate this picture with a slow zoom and moving leaves: https://example.com/garden.jpg
A songWrite a 2-minute upbeat pop song about rainy days.
A voice-overRead this text in a bright, friendly female voice: …
A specific modelUse Kling 3.0 to make a video of …
Your balanceHow many you.bot credits do I have left?

Images usually arrive in seconds. Videos and songs take one to a few minutes — your app keeps checking the task and gives you the link when it is ready. Results are served from our own domain.

To use your own picture, video or audio, put a public link to it in your message. Most AI apps cannot hand a file you attach in the chat to a connected tool, so a link is the reliable way.

Chat/LLM models are not offered through MCP. Use the API for those.

Tools your app gets

ToolWhat it does
list_modelsLists the image, video and audio models, or returns one model's parameters and prices.
generateRuns a model. Spends credits and returns a task id.
get_taskChecks a task and returns the result links when it is done. Free.
get_creditsReturns your credit balance. Free.
upload_fileHosts a small file your app sends as base64 and returns a link to use as a model input.

There is nothing to install or update. Your app reads these tools from us each time it connects, so changes reach you as soon as we ship them.

Credits and limits

  • Every generation is charged from your credit balance at the same price as the Playground and the API. Failed tasks are refunded automatically.
  • Each connected app gets its own API key named MCP · <app name>, with the daily limit you picked when you clicked Allow: 100, 500 or 2,000 credits per day, or no limit.
  • Change that limit anytime in Dashboard → API Keys. Daily limits reset at 00:00 UTC.
  • Checking a task or your balance costs nothing.

Disconnect an app

  • Delete its MCP · <app name> key in Dashboard → API Keys — the app loses access immediately.
  • Remove the server from the app as well, so it stops asking you to sign in.
  • Connecting the same app again later reuses its key and your usage history.
